FAQ's

Q:  Is the Dynamic Arm Support coded in the United States?
A:  Yes, the product is code-verified as E2626: Mobile Arm Support.

Q:  What kind of clients can benefit from the Dynamic Arm Support?
A:  Clients should be assessed by a healthcare provider, but generally, the arm support is beneficial for those with neurological impairment in one upper extremity. Diagnoses might include stroke (CVA), ALS, MS, or brachial plexus injury.

Q:  Does the Dynamic Arm Support come in different sizes?
A:  The base system is one size, but you must select the correct hand block size (small or large). The small size fits a hand up to 10.5 cm long, measured from the first knuckle of the middle finger. For more details, refer to the order form.

Q:  Are there different shapes or styles of the hand block?
A:  Currently, only one shape is available. However, we are aware of requests for different styles and may offer them in the future.

Q:  Is there an assessment kit I can purchase?
A:  Yes, a full assessment kit is available. It includes all parts, mounting hardware for various wheelchairs, and all four sizes of the hand block, allowing you to configure sizes and left/right orientation.

Q:  Can I change from a right to a left Dynamic Arm Support?
A:  If you ordered the wrong side, we can help modify the base board to fit the opposite side. However, you’ll need to purchase or exchange the hand block.

Q:  What type of wheelchairs will the Dynamic Arm Support fit?
A:  It’s designed to fit most manual and power wheelchair models. We offer various mounting solutions for both tubular and flat armrests. You’ll need to know the brand of the power chair or the tube diameter of the tubular armrest.

   -  For the best fit, use with height-adjustable armrests.

   -  Typically, the existing armrest pad will need to be removed.

   -  We do not recommend mounting to a swing-away tubular armrest.

Q:  What is the warranty on the Dynamic Arm Support?
A:  We offer a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and materials under normal use by the original consumer.

Q:  How can I clean the Dynamic Arm Support?
A:  Wipe the arm support with a disinfectant or a cloth soaked in warm water and soap, then towel dry or air dry. The hand strap can be machine-washed at 60°C and tumble-dried at low temperature or drip-dried.
